WE WON!!!  We are delighted to announce that Stillorgan Wood Residents Association has won our category in the 2013 Tidy Districts Competition.  The Committee is very grateful to all residents who made such great efforts to keep their gardens and environs in such good condition over the summer.  Great credit is due to all.  Many thanks.

The Stillorgan Wood Annual Barbeque took place on Saturday last, 22nd June, and was very well attended with approximately 50/60 residents in attendance.  In spite of the changeable weather, a good time was had by all (as can be seen on the photos below)

Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown Council will be sweeping the roads in Stillorgan Wood on Tuesday, 2nd July and we would ask residents to remove parked cars from the streets on that day to ensure that the sweeping is efficiently carried out.  We would be very grateful for your cooperation in this matter as judging for the Tidy Districts Competition is due to take place in early July.

In view of the fact that several committee members have been approached by residents about the Local Property tax, the committee have decided to issue this newsletter.  By now, most residents should have received an estimate for their property from Revenue.  The tax is self-assessed and each resident must make an assessment of the market value of their particular house....

CHILDREN – Saturday 20th April 2013 at 11.00 a.m.

In view of the appalling weather on the previously arranged date for children to come along and help planting in the garden and woods, we have decided to combine this with the spring clean.  Jean will talk to the children about the different plants in the garden.  So ……… if you are interested in nature and gardening do come along!  There might be goodies distributed...

In view of the recent inclement weather, this will now take place on SATURDAY, 20TH APRIL AT 11.00 a.m. and we would be very grateful for as many helpers (especially young people) as possible on the day in order to clean up the estate in general and the wooded area/entrance in particular.
